There are a number of different error pages you might run into when using FOCOS's apps. These are the same errors you might encounter when using the same apps in your traditional web browser.

Here's what the different errors you might see mean:

No Internet

This one isn't much of a mystery! You'll see this when your computer doesn't have an internet connection. Simply reconnecting to the internet and reloading the page will fix the problem.

If you can still see this error after double-checking you're online and reloading then you may need to submit a support ticket.

4XX Errors

These are the most common type of errors for web apps.

The most recognisable is "404 Not Found" which means you've managed to find your way to a page that doesn't exist. This might be due to clicking a link that is broken in the individual app, in which case there isn't much the FOCOS team can do to help sadly.

There are a number of other 4XX errors (401 Unauthorised, 403 Forbidden etc) but in general, if you've found your way to one within FOCOS then the best thing to do is go back and try to do what you were after another way. You can always copy the page URL into your traditional web browser to confirm that it doesn't work there either.

4XX Errors on an App Home Page

If you run into a 4XX error on an app's homepage then there might be a more serious problem. If it's an app you added from the app store without providing a custom URL then that app might be broken within FOCOS.

Rest assured, if this happens to you then an alert has been sent to our team to let us know. We'll immediately hop onto fixing the app!

4XX Errors on a Custom URL's Home Page

If you see a 4XX error after opening a custom URL that you've pinned to your app bar then it's possible the URL was added incorrectly.

The quickest way to check this is to copy the URL shown on the error page into your traditional web browser and see what happens. If the page doesn't load correctly then you can tell that the wrong URL was given when pinning it to the app bar. Simply get rid of it (right-click its icon and select remove) and try adding it again with the correct URL.

If the URL works in your browser, or you see this error when you're certain that the URL is correct, you may need to submit a support ticket.

4XX Errors on a Customised App's Home Page

A number of apps in Fantoo's app store ask for an extra level of customisation when you add them. For example, you need to enter your Slack domain when adding it to FOCOS:

If you see a 4XX after opening one of these customised apps for the first time then it's possible the app was added incorrectly.

The quickest way to check this is to copy the URL shown on the error page into your traditional web browser and see what happens. If the page doesn't load correctly then you can tell that the wrong information was given when adding the app. Simply get rid of it (right-click its icon and select remove) and try adding it again with the correct information.

If the URL works in your browser, or you see this error when you're certain that the URL is correct, you may need to submit a support ticket.

5XX Errors

There are a number of different 5XX server errors (500 Internal Server Error, 503 Service Unavailable etc) but in general they signify that something has gone wrong with the app you're using.

Sadly, there is very little the FOCOS team can do about these errors. The creators of the app probably know that something is wrong and once they have fixed it on their end, getting back into it is as simple as reloading the page!

A quick peace-of-mind check is to copy the URL from the error page and test it in your web browser. It's likely that it won't work there either.

If the URL works in your browser but reloading the page in WFHBOX doesn't remove it, you may need to submit a support ticket.

Your Connection is Not Private

If you see an error telling you that your connection isn't private then please be careful. This signifies that the page you tried to go to has an issue with its security certificate.

This could mean that the page is insecure and any data you enter could be stolen. There could be a less severe explanation (maybe the site's security certificate has expired) but the WFHBOX team don't recommend that you take any risks. The safest thing to do is go back and avoid that page.

If you know that the page is definitely safe then you can click the option to continue but WFHBOX cannot be held responsible for anything that may occur after.
